Spin: After trading up for Collins during the 2015 draft, he struggled in throughout the 2015 season. He recorded his first career interception on October 19, 2015 in a Monday night loss in Philadelphia, but he also dropped a game winning interception during the Patriots game on November 15, 2015. However, 2015 and 2016 were night and day for Mr. Collins. He had a historic season for a safety, as he became the only safety in NFL history to have 100+ solo tackles, 2+ sacks, 5+ interceptions, and 12+ passes defended against. The highlight of his season was a pick 6 against the Rams in London on October 23, 2016, a truly acrobatic play.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Landon Collins was an unanimous All-American at safety for the University of Alabama, where he was also a team captain. Collins put together one of the best seasons by a Defensive Player in New York Giants History in 2016. Landon Collins ended the 2016 NFL season as the only player in NFL history to have over 100 solo tackles, more than 2 sacks, at least 5 interceptions, and a minimum of 12 pass deflections. A runner up for Defensive Player of the Year, Landon Collins, only in his second year took the NFL by storm. He is already considered one of the premier safeties and defensive players in the entire NFL.
