NFL Awards/Honors: 9 time Pro-Bowler (1978, 1979, 1981-1987), 2 time First Team All-Pro (1981,1984), 4 time Second Team All-Pro (1978, 1982, 1985, 1986), Super Bowl XXI Champion, New York Giants Ring of Honor, Pro Football Hall of Fame (2006)

Spin: Carson didn’t miss a game in college and won two consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Defensive Player of the Year Awards. He served as a Giants captain for 10 seasons and was a part of the “Big Blue Wrecking Crew” defense that after 1980, included Lawrence Taylor, Brian Kelley, and Brad Van Pelt. In the Giants Super Bowl win against the Denver Broncos, he recorded seven tackles to propel them to their first Super Bowl victory ever. He then retired two years later.
